Popovers

This is the one thing that my husband is in charge of making.  He makes delicious popovers and follows the recipe from Better Homes and Gardens: New Cook Book.

Popovers:

nonstick cooking spray
2 beaten eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt

oven @ 400 degrees for about 40 minutes

First thing you want to do is coat either custard cups or a popover pan with cooking spray. Place on a cookie sheet and set aside.

In a mixing bowl combine beaten eggs, milk, and cooking oil.

Add flour and salt.

Beat with a rotary beater or whisk until the mixture is smooth.

Fill the greased cups about half full.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until they are very firm.

They are so delicious warm with melted butter and make a great side item at dinner or work great for breakfast time. Simply Delicious
